About Me

My name is Jeannie and I'm studying Earth and Space Science with a concentration in Geology at Columbus State University. In May 2012, I took advantage of a unique opportunity to travel for two weeks across a portion of the United States to study the weather, astronomy, and  geology of different areas during the trip. This blog tells the story of where I went and what I saw, as well as what I learned about the places I've been and the people  I've met along the way.

This is how I usually study. There are no whiteboards in the wilderness. No dry erase markers either.
